Overview
Roku TVs operate on the same frequency as Marian’s Wi-Fi. Roku TVs use a feature called Wi-Fi Direct. This feature operates on the same frequency as the Marian Wi-Fi, this cannot be changed. Also, some Roku devices have “interference mitigation” enabled by default. This feature disrupts traffic to nearby Wi-Fi Access Points to improve the signal of the Roku device. Both of these features will cause signal drops, failure to connect to the wireless, low bandwidth, and more to devices around them.
Note: Connecting the Roku with an Ethernet cable should resolve the interference issues.
