The MAC address, sometimes referred to as a Physical Address, can be found in the device’s About, System Information, or Network Settings page. A MAC address comprises 12 letters and numbers typically separated with colons or hyphens, such as xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx or xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx.


GAMING CONSOLES


Playstation 3
    1. At the home menu, go left to select Settings, and then choose Network Settings

    2. Select Settings and Connection Status List.

    3. Scroll to the bottom area to find the MAC Address.

Playstation 4

    1. Select Settings on the home screen.

    2. Scroll down to System.

    3. Select System Information.

    4. The wired and wireless MAC Addresses are listed at the bottom of the screen


Playstation 5

  1. Select Settings on the home screen.

  2. Scroll down to Network.

  3. Scroll down to View Connection Status.

  4. The wired and wireless MAC Addresses will be listed on this screen.

Xbox 360

  1. Go to the home screen.
  2. Choose System Settings at the far right of the home screen.

  3. Choose Network Settings.

  4. Select Wireless Network.

  5. Select Configure Network.

  6. Select Additional Settings.

  7. Select Advanced Settings.

  8. The Wireless MAC Address should be listed in the middle area.


Xbox One/Series S/Series X
  1. Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the guide.

  2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

  3. Choose Advanced Settings.

  4. On the right side of this screen, there are headings for Wired MAC and Wireless MAC Addresses.

Nintendo Switch
  1. Select System Settings from the home screen.

  2. Select Internet.

  3. Your System MAC Address should be displayed on this screen. If the System MAC Address is not displayed on this screen, select Internet Settings.

  4. Scroll to the bottom and note the System MAC Address.


MOBILE DEVICES

Android Device
  1. Go to Settings on the Apps Menu Screen.

  2. Select About (device).

  3. Select Status.

  4. The device's MAC address is located under WiFi MAC Address.


Windows Phone
  1. Open the Apps list, and tap on Settings.

  2. Select About.

  3. Tap on More Info. You will now be able to see the MAC Address (as well as the IMEI and SIM ID) of your Windows phone.


iOS Device
  1. On the home screen, open Settings by finding and tapping the gear icon.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi.

  3. Tap the blue i next to the WiFi network you’re trying to connect to

  4. Find the Wi-Fi Address listing at the bottom. This is the MAC Address of the device.

By default, iOS devices use a “Private Wi-Fi Address”. This is a random MAC address specific to each WiFi network. If you disable Private Wi-Fi Address, the device’s built-in MAC address will be used and shown in the Wi-Fi Address listing.










COMPUTERS


OSX/macOS Device 
  1. Click on the Apple Icon in the top left and go to System Preferences (System Settings on 13.0 or later).

  2. Click Network

  3. Go to the Network adapter you wish to find the MAC address for. Your computer will have a different wired and wireless MAC address

  4. Click Advanced… in the bottom right

  5. Click Hardware and the MAC address will be listed


Windows Computer
  1. Press the Windows key and R to open the Run window
  2. Type cmd to open the Command Window

  3. type ipconfig /all to list all of your network adapters (wired and wireless). Windows lists the MAC addres as the Physical Address.

Each network interface (i.e. WiFi, wired Ethernet) has a unique MAC address. Look for the “Wireless LAN Adapter Wi-Fi” for your WiFi MAC address, or the “Ethernet adapter Ethernet” for your wired Ethernet MAC address.
