First step for all Password Issues

  • Visit login.marian.edu to verify that your username and password are current. If your password is not working for Canvas, it may need to be changed.
    • All passwords must meet the following requirements: 
      • At least 12 characters long
      • Has a number, special character, uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter
      • Does not contain any part of your name
      • It is not the same as an old password.

 

Current/Returning Students

  • Canvas uses your Marian username and password to log in.
    • Your username will be your First Initial + Last Name + 3 Digit Number (John Smith = jsmith123).
    • Do not use your Marian email address (jsmith123@marian.edu)

 

New Students

  • If you are a new student and you have never logged into email or our Single Sign On page (https://login.marian.edu), please login there first to activate the account and set your password.
  • You will not be able to access Canvas if you are a new student and you have not been registered for classes.
  • It may take a few days for your Canvas account to be created if you recently registered for classes.
